Our mechanics get to work as soon as you leave. We'll text you a diagnosis update if anything unexpected comes up.

Night Mechanics started because taking your car to the garage shouldn't cost you a day's work. We know what it's like — juggling an early morning drop-off, blagging a lift off a mate, waiting for a call that never comes at a sensible hour.

We flipped the model. You crack on with your day. We work while you sleep. Our team of IMI-qualified mechanics handles everything from oil changes to engine diagnostics — all overnight, all done before your alarm goes off.

We're a small, local Merseyside shop. We serve Liverpool, the Wirral, Knowsley, St Helens, and Sefton. We know your name, we explain what we did, and we don't charge you for stuff you don't need. Just honest graft, done right, done at night.

Common Questions

Drop-off is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you're running a little late, give us a call — we'll do our best to accommodate you.
For standard services (oil changes, brakes, tires, basic diagnostics), your car will be ready by 7:00 AM the next morning. For larger jobs, we'll give you a realistic time estimate when you drop off.
Booking ahead is recommended — especially for more complex repairs. Same-day walk-ins are welcome when we have availability. Call or text us and we'll let you know if there's a slot open that evening.
Most customers use Uber or a local taxi. Merseyside has great coverage — a cab home from most areas will cost just a few quid. If you want, we can recommend a local firm. Having a mate follow you in their car works great too.
Absolutely. We text you a diagnosis update if we find anything beyond what was originally discussed. We never do additional work without your approval — you'll always know the cost before we proceed.
We work on most makes and models — domestic and foreign cars, SUVs, and light vans. We're familiar with everything from Fords and Vauxhalls to VW, BMW, Toyota, and more. We don't currently service HGVs, motorhomes, or high-performance exotics. Not sure? Just give us a ring.
We accept cash and all major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). We also take bank transfer. Payment is collected at pickup. We'll send you the full invoice by text before you arrive so there are no surprises.
Yes. Our facility is fully fenced, well-lit, and monitored by security cameras overnight. Your keys are stored securely in the shop. We've never had an incident and take the security of your vehicle very seriously.
